Our Story & Mission

Beautiful Fix Farms was founded on a simple belief: healing happens through connection.

What began as a passion for rescuing animals has grown into a place where children, families, and individuals of all abilities can learn, grow, and thrive alongside them. Through hands-on experiences with animals, nature, and agriculture, we create opportunities for confidence building, personal growth, life skills development, and meaningful learning.

Every animal at our farm has a story. Many have come from neglect, abandonment, uncertain futures, or the threat of slaughter. Through patience, care, and compassion, they have found safety, purpose, and a forever home.

Today, Beautiful Fix Farms serves homeschool students, charter school families, community groups, volunteers, and individuals participating in educational, life skills, and vocational programs. Together, we are creating a place where rescue, education, inclusion, and belonging come together.

Because at Beautiful Fix Farms, every life matters, every story matters, and everyone belongs.

Meet Our Founder

Lisa Mitchell

My name is Lisa Mitchell, and I am the founder of Beautiful Fix Farms.

My love for animals began at a young age and has grown into a lifelong passion. I have always felt a special connection with horses, and that passion inspired me to create Beautiful Fix Farms.

Through my work on the ranch, I provide horseback riding instruction, animal care experiences, and educational opportunities in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is helping children and individuals of all abilities build confidence, develop meaningful connections, and experience joy through interactions with animals.

My goal is to create a peaceful place where people can learn, grow, heal, and discover the comfort, companionship, and life lessons that animals can provide.
